Our Timeline

1945 The company (W.H Andrew) was founded by Bill Andrew. 
-
1967 Tim Andrew joined the company providing exceptional service.

1975 Moved to the centre of Hillsborough, County Down.

1986 Moved to a purpose built office and warehouse & our name was changed to Andrew of Hillsborough Ltd.

2001 Took over W.H Waugh, a long time competitior. Alan Waugh joined as a director.

Jan 2003 Opened an extended warehouse and covered loading bay which doubled loading capacity.

2003 Rebranded the company to Andrew Ingredients. A fresh name and look was adopted.

2005 Held our own very successful ‘Ingredients in Action’ exhibition to celebrate 60 years of business.

2008 Distribution area expanded to all of Ireland. A new Business Development manager, Emmett Logue was recruited and joined the existing sales team.

2011 Moved to Lisburn and doubled the size of the facilities to 24,000sq ft.

2014 John Graham joined as a Director, now Managing Director

2015 Celebrated 70 years in business. Opened a new warehouse, test bakery and kitchen with 4 new loading bays and a refrigeration unit.

2018 Distribution area expanded to include Scotland. Gerry Murray joined the team as Business Development Manager for the area.

Jan 2020 Ben Jennett and Timothy Beattie joined the team as Business Development Managers.

Feb 2020 John Boland, Director and long time team member, retired.

2021 Extension of premises to 40,000 sq ft

2025 Andrew Ingredients Celebrates 80 Years in Business!
