Andrew Ingredients, IREKS and California Raisins collaborated to host this exciting event on Wednesday 26th October at the impressive Hodson Bay Hotel in Athlone.The day started at 3pm, where attendees were greeted in the conservatory with tea, coffee and various snacks made using IREKS and California Raisin products.




California Raisins and IREKS delivered informative and interesting presentations, and attendees invited to try samples of each of the featured baked products. These included:

Ciabatta - using IREKS Ciabatta Mix
Summer Barbeque Rolls - using IREKS Grain Bread Mix
Party Wheel - using IREKS Pia Do Mix
Museli Bread - using IREKS Avena Oat Bread and California Raisins
Fruit and Nut Bread - using IREKS Donker Bread Mix and California Raisins
Walnut-Raisin Bread - using IREKS Artisano and California Raisins
Soft Raisin Rolls - using IREKS Mella-HT-Supersoft and California Raisins
Pumpkin Bread - using IREKS Pumpkin Bread Mix
Easter Baskets - using IREKS Corn Bread Mix and California Raisins
Easter Scones - using IREKS Corn Bread Mix
Stollen Confectionery - using IREKS 100% Rye Bread Mix and California Raisins
Calorie-Reduced Cupcakes - using IREKS La Nuvola

The presentations were followed by a delicious German themed evening meal which was made using various IREKS and California Raisin products.
California Raisins sponsored the amazing top raffle prize which was a €1000 voucher for flights to California. Congratulations to the lucky winner Gordon Scott of Windsor Home Bakery, Banbridge! Stephan Unglert of Unglert's Bakery, Ennistymon, Co Clare won the iPad 2 and many other prizes including kegs and cases of Kulmbacher beer were won by attendees:
10L wooden keg of Kulmbacher Beer - Jason Tweedie (McKee's Home Bakery, Whitehead)
5L kegs of Kulmbacher Beer - Richard Bond (Avondale Foods, Craigavon), Stephan Unglert (Unglert's Bakery, Co Clare), Jimmy Griffin (Griffin's Bakery, Galway), Simon Stenson (Cherry Blossom Bakery, Castlebar), Maura Kearney (Kearneys Homebaking, Limerick)
Cases of Kulmbacher Beer - Barbara Ornsby (Sugar Craft, Comber), Cathal O'Donoghue (O'Donoghue's Bakery, Tullamore)
The evening entertainment was provided by an exuberant Ralf and his rock accordian.
The event raised a staggering €2,400 for the Irish Bakers Benevolent Society. Many thanks to everyone who attended!
